Heinz Beck

Heinz Beck is one of the world’s most renowned masters of gastronomy, celebrated for his innovative approach to modern cuisine, focus on health, and dedication to Italian and Mediterranean culinary traditions.
A multi-awarded chef, Beck has received top honors from Michelin, Gambero Rosso, L’Espresso, and Bibenda. He was the first chef in Italy to be awarded both the Five Star and Six Star Diamond Awards by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. In 2000, he received the Gold Medal at the Foyer of Artists from the University of Rome La Sapienza. In 2010, he was named Knight of the Order of Merit by the Federal Republic of Germany and co-founded the Order of the Knights of Italian Cuisine to promote Italian gastronomy on the international stage.
In 2014, Beck was named Chef of the Year at Identità Golose and received the Lion of Venice Career Award, followed by the Taste & Health Award from Gambero Rosso. In 2016, he was appointed Ambassador of Extraordinary Italian Taste by MIPAAF and received the Italian Excellence Award. In March 2018, he received the Degree in Natural Bio Energies, awarded by the Popular University of Arezzo. In 2019, Gault&Millau named him Best German Chef Abroad. Most recently, in 2023, Forbes Italia honored him with the Innovative and Health Award.
For nearly two decades, Heinz Beck has focused on the relationship between food and well-being, collaborating with Italian universities and scientists such as Prof. Davide Della Morte Canosci (University of Tor Vergata) and Prof. Mauro Serafini (University of Teramo) to explore nutrition, longevity, and post-prandial oxidative stress. His cuisine, across all his restaurants, embodies excellence, innovation, and a deep respect for health and tradition.
