Her journey is as inspiring as her mission. Born in Armenia, she overcame both dyslexia and cancer to earn a medical degree in pediatrics, a doctorate in genetics, and a master’s in psychology. That resilience now fuels her global impact.
Dr. Sargsyan serves as Scientific Director of the Onco Biobank at Cedars-Sinai, where she leads translational oncology research focused on cancer and healthy aging. Under her leadership, the biobank has become one of the most widely used clinical collections. She is also the Co-Principal Investigator of the Molecular Twin Initiative, which applies artificial intelligence and machine learning to biomedical science in order to foster groundbreaking inventions and personalize cancer treatments.
